When firemen arrived at a kitchen fire in a Los Angeles residence, they discovered an unconscious cat, which they were able to save, according to KTLA-TV.
The cat was given oxygen by the Los Angeles Fire Department, and after 10 minutes of continuous oxygen therapy, the cat got up and interacted with firefighters.
On Friday, the chief of the Los Angeles City Fire Department posted photographs from the rescue on social media.
“After extinguishing the fire, a search revealed that no one was at house; nevertheless, members rescued a cat and administered oxygen,” wrote Fire Chief Kristin Crowley. “After about ten minutes, the furry companion stood up and appeared to be in better shape.”
