Despite their extreme size disparity, Sappy the cat and Dakota the horse have developed one of the most peculiar relationships in the animal kingdom.
The two spend a lot of time hugging and even eat and sleep together at their ranch near Fairfield, Illinois. They are truly inseparable. When Sappy was a kitten and Dakota took on the role of a father figure for him, they grew to have an unexpected connection, according to the owner.
Owner Denice Kinney stated, “I could tell they had a tight link when Sappy was a young kitten because the kitten never paid attention to other horses.
Sappy would stand by Dakota while he was grazing and was constantly in his stall.
