This is the tale of a remarkable cat who completely changed the course of a young girl’s life.
Iris was given an autism diagnosis when she was 2 years old. She often hid behind her books since she found it difficult to make eye contact with her mother. She was silent, detested taking baths, and frequently had trouble falling asleep at night.
Both riding a bike and in a car terrified her. Additionally, she had a hard time relating to people, and the doctor told her mother that she would never speak.
However, her parents were committed to providing for her no matter what it took. Iris was introduced to horses in the hopes that they might make a good therapy animal, but she had no interest in them.
Then she met a therapy dog, but Iris and him weren’t a good fit. The cats she encountered also failed to spark a relationship with her. Her parents stopped looking, so.
They learned Iris adored painting when her mother came up with various ideas to make her happy. It made her feel more composed and focused.
A few years later, the family was taking care of her uncle’s cat, and the two were connected to one another right away.
Her parents began looking for the ideal cat after realising they simply hadn’t found it before. It was at this point that they discovered Thula.
When Thula first entered their home, she went and sat down on Iris’ knee. Thula and Iris hit it off right away, and they’ve been together ever since.
