An orange tabby cat attracted Gissell’s attention last month as she was driving home. Gissell is the creator of Paws of Hope NYC. “I was getting off the freeway. Despite the fact that it was already dark, the cat stood out to me due to his size and colouring “Gissell informed Meow Love. In East New York, Brooklyn, the cat was by himself and foraging for food across the street near a creek. Gissell stopped his car and went to see how the cat was doing. She planned to use the food can she brought to entice the tabby to her.
“He came over to me right away. Unexpectedly, this gentle behemoth preferred belly massages to my food.” The cat showed trust by plopping down on the ground and beginning to roll around with his tummy exposed when he saw Gissell. Then, instead of utilising his legs to move, he wriggled towards his human acquaintance. The cat, who was overjoyed to be discovered, approached Gissell for head scratching. He turned around a couple times for me, so I was confident I could simply scruff him into my carrier.
That evening, the tabby named Buttons was able to sleep with a full stomach and a roof over his head after leaving the streets. “He running into me was a relief. He was in the ideal situation at the ideal time, “Gissell gave Love Meow a part.

When Buttons was around five years old, no one showed up to claim him. Soph, one of the rescue’s foster volunteers, took him under her wing and gave the tabby guy a cosy place to stay.
He is quite affectionate and enjoys rubbing up against his human companions. Buttons quickly climbed onto her lap and chest for some lengthy cuddling sessions. “The best snuggling machine is Buttons. No matter what you are doing, he wants to hang out with you, but he also likes to take a sleep alone in the sun “Soph and Love Meow exchanged.
He has a lot of personality, is quite talkative, and loves to watch movies. He is courageous with strangers and content as long as a familiar face is there.
When catnip is supplied, Buttons especially enjoys rolling on his back. He likes spending time with his people and treasures every moment spent with them. He snoozes all night at the end of my bed and wakes up as soon as my alarm goes off to cuddle with me. He is quite inquisitive and enjoys listening to new sounds in the house, like the printer and the vacuum.
He enjoys a family-style lunch and prefers to dine beside you. Soft, endearing, and delightful to be around, Buttons. Formerly a stray discovered by the creek, Buttons now greets visitors with lots of affectionate face rubs. “A belly rub and a few chin scratches on a first date is his idea of heaven.”
