World’s Oldest Cat from Texas Dies Just Days After Breaking World Record

The world’s oldest cat has just died at the age of 30, days after being declared the world’s oldest living cat!

Siamese cat Scooter was just named the world’s oldest living cat in the Guinness Book of World Records, and celebrated his 30th birthday just last month.

But his owner, Gail Floyd from Texas, stated Scooter had died by the time Guinness conferred its title.

Veterinarian Dr Tricia Latimer, said Scooter had lived to the equivalent of approximately 136 human years.

Scooter took the place of Corduroy, who was once given the title at the age of 26 years and 13 days.

Even Scooter, however, was not the world’s oldest ever cat. That title is still firmly held in the paws of 38-year-old Crème Puff, who also lived in Texas. She died back in 2005.

Our hearts here at The Best Cat Page go out to Scooter and his loving human family!
