Hazel, a Yorkie, Chihuahua, and Poodle mix, resides in Abilene, Texas, with Monica Burks, her devoted mother.
Hazel adores Monica and frequently surprises her. The dog also recently caught her mother off guard by bringing home an abandoned kitten.
When Monica let Hazel go outside for a restroom break, everything started to happen. The dog, however, took a while to return after her bathroom trip. In order to find out where her dog had gone, Monica looked outside, where she saw Hazel coming back with a new companion.
He saved the little stray kitten by persuading it to follow her home in the pouring rain after Hazel discovered the cat abandoned by the road.
Hazel urged the cat to continue following her each time she hesitated or paused in her tracks. She resisted going outside and was determined to guide the cat back to her house despite the rain.
When Monica observed her dog assisting the stray kitten in the pouring rain, she stated she couldn’t believe her eyes. She swiftly snapped a photo with her camera and posted the precious moment to social media as a result.
