Earlier this year, a litter of kittens born in an Arizona home that was undergoing renovations came to the attention of Danielle Chavez, the founder of With Grace (a rescue organisation in Las Vegas).
Danielle told Love Meow, “We routinely use a spay and neuter facility for our foster cats, and one of the staff members reached out to us for assistance with three abandoned neonatal kittens.
A stray cat had entered the house through the walls to give birth, but she left the kittens behind and disappeared.
“We met in Las Vegas after the owner drove the kittens there from Arizona. They were warm and waiting for them in our incubator when we hurried them home.”
The kittens weighed only 60 grammes, which was incredibly little. Two of them were too weak to survive despite their greatest efforts to save them all. The last kitten, Michael, clung to life with all his might. He snatched the bottle and gorged himself, trying to fortify his frail body.
