31-pound cat that is morbidly obese has been abandoned and is looking for a new home

One of my pet peeves is when people freely feed animals. Yes, the majority of people work from home, and while they are gone, they must feed their cherished pets. In order to prevent their infant from going hungry, they overfill a dish with dry kibble.

WRONG! Limit the amount of dry food you must leave out. Animals lack the cerebral capacity to regulate their eating habits.

They must consume all the food before another snatches it before their natural inclinations take over! And they are unable to recognise when enough is enough. And that is how a 31 pound cat gets obtained.

a cat that weighs 31 pounds and is deemed morbidly obese. And because he is now too much to care for, he was turned over to a shelter.

In Ontario, Canada, that is what happened to sweet Shadow. The 6-year-old grey cat’s owners were compelled to give him up because of his enormous size. They had to accept that they couldn’t take care of him any longer.

Because of his current weight, he is unable to perform the normal household cat activities.

Shadow isn’t interested in playing.
