The UK’s 80th Annual Blue Cross Medal was given to Carrots the Blind Therapy Cat

Another honourable person, his owner Katie Lloyd, stands behind the amazing feline.

In addition to being the creator of Bradford Cat Watch Rescue, Katie has a special heart for animals. She also recognises the genuine happiness and companionship that come from bonds with animals. Katie is constantly engaged in her own struggles.

However, Carrot’s life didn’t begin in the public eye.

He did not grow up in a cosy environment. He was brought to the shelter after being discovered on the streets and had some major problems.

The eyes of the unfortunate abandoned kitten were horribly infected. Later, they learned that he had full blindness due to congenital birth abnormalities that affected BOTH of his eyes.

The affectionate cat wasn’t deterred in the least by it. Or “moggy,” as the English call our catty buddies.
