The Shelter Had To Post A Sign Because The Cat Is So Loud

Anissa Beal first encountered Mia when she was on one of her routine runs to an overcrowded shelter in South Texas and heard one of the loudest meows she had ever heard.

According to Beal, who spoke to The Dodo, “She was sobbing extremely loudly, and the animal control office claimed she was very vocal and they all needed ear plugs.”

She was informed by the animal control officer that Mia was given up to the shelter as an unwanted cat. Beal, the founder and director of Edgar and Ivy’s Cat Sanctuary, frequently assists the shelter by removing animals from their custody.

On that particular day, there was no question in her mind that Mia would be with her.

Mia resisted being silent even after she had moved into her new temporary residence at Edgar and Ivy’s Cat Sanctuary.

Everyone quickly understood that she continued to be loud and proud, which was a fundamental aspect of her personality. They examined her to make sure she was pain-free and even tested her hearing. She was in excellent health but extremely vocal.
