A four-year-old black-and-white cat named Ellie from Virginia became well-known online thanks to her “sad” life tale.
“Y’all. The worst thing I’ve ever seen is this “On December 12, the Twitter user @revengegrill posted. This cat was brought back to the shelter because she liked to sleep next to her owners. (See the tweet in this article’s lower section.)
Ellie’s bio and a picture of her were also included in the tweet.
The sheet reads, “I was returned because I wanted to sleep at night with my human and I wasn’t permitted to, so I would scream outside the bedroom door,” in the “voice” of the cat.
In just three days, the tweet acquired over 71,000 likes and over 10,000 retweets.
Ellie was at the PetSmart in Chester, Virginia, the Twitter user continued, adding that the cat “was honestly such a love bug and done nothing to deserve this.”
Ellie is four years old, has been spayed, and has had all of her vaccinations, according to the data sheet.
The adoption of Ellie is being facilitated by Kate Balow, owner of Meow Stories Central VA Cat Rescue.
