Australian Fire and Rescue Saves Mama Cat and Six Trapped Kittens

A mother cat and her six kittens were in danger after running from a dog and were rescued by an Australian Fire and Rescue team.

Six kittens and their mother were found trapped behind a home’s wall by Fire and Rescue NSW (New South Wales), one of the busiest fire and rescue organisations in Australia.

The kittens were residing in Beverly Hills, a Sydney suburb.

On May 23, at about 4:30 p.m., neighbours heard the kittens meowing in distress, and they called the firefighters. The mother cat fled from a dog and took sanctuary in the neighbor’s home, where they all managed to climb up into the ceiling. All of the cats then dispersed and ended up in various difficult-to-reach locations.

Fortunately, someone heard the kittens’ cries as they began to whimper, stuck and terrified.

It was challenging for the team to reach the kittens when they arrived on the site. To begin with, three kittens had somehow managed to get into a wall void. To get to two other kittens, the firefighters had to enter a man-hole on the property.

They then had to locate the remaining kittens using a search camera and cut into the wall to free them.
