Forbes, a beloved cat who had been missing for ten years, has returned home

Ten years ago, Forbes, a 12-year-old cat from Aberdeen, Scotland, lost track of his way home. Forbes Henderson is back with his parents, Neil and Lucy Henderson, thanks to a microchip.

They had long since given up on the possibility of ever seeing their cherished pet again. Now that their “dream come true” has materialised, they are “over the moon.”

Forbes vanished from the Aberdeen residence, sparking a protracted search by the family. They performed door-to-door searches and used a friend’s homemade posters as part of their efforts.

They even requested that neighbours examine their garages and sheds while talking to neighbours. The kitten, however, was not to be found.

Despite their thorough investigation, they were unable to find anything. They finally started to believe “the worst may have happened” after more than a year had passed.

The couple relocated to Edinburgh, 128 miles south, three years later.
