Nashville Cat Rescue was alerted earlier this year about a pregnant cat in need of rescue at a small Tennessee shelter. Because the shelter lacked the funds to retain her, they made a public appeal in an effort to find her support.
Becca and Nathan, foster parents for Nashville Cat Rescue, told Love Meow, “We don’t know if she was a stray or surrendered, but the staff noticed how nice she was, and knew she deserved to go into a rescue.”
The expectant woman and Becca and Nathan were securely moved to their foster home with the aid of volunteers. Fern, the stunning cat, adapted easily to the comfortable household life.
Fern gave birth to three healthy children two weeks after entering foster care, and she started outright taking care of them. The devoted cat gave her beloved three her complete attention while taking brief breaks to use the restroom and restock her supplies.
Ten days later, the couple got a call that was urgent about a baby orange tabby that was in need of a mother’s affection. She arrived in our home two hours after her biological mother had rejected her, crying and cold, the pair said in a statement to Love Meow.
