Kittens Found Under Duplex are Overjoyed to See Cat Mom Again and Run to Her

Seven 6-week-old kittens were discovered last month under a duplex by a worried neighbour.

The cat mother vanished from view and didn’t return to her kittens. They were starving and frail, so the finder took them in and got in touch with us for assistance, according to Mary Huckabee, a representative of Coastal Bend Cat Rescue (CBCR).

A CBCR foster volunteer acted quickly and invited all seven into her home. The finder continued to watch for the mother in the meantime, hoping to see her come back.

The kittens were underweight, hungry, and skinny. The youngest of the litter, Fiddlesticks, was in the poorest condition. When they believed she would require bottle-feeding and supporting care, they received a call from the finder.

Three days after the kittens were discovered, the mother cat arrived and requested assistance. The finder was determined to get her off the streets and worked all night to try and catch her.

“She was wearing a collar that was way too tight when she first discovered her. When a family down the street moved, a neighbour claimed she was left on her own to survive “Mary gave Love Meow some.
