Orange tabby cat Jasper has a special spot for abandoned kittens.
Since finding his forever home with Kelsey Minier (who fostered and adopted him), he has helped Kelsey with kitten supervision whenever she brings home new fosters.
Six visitors were invited to spend the weekend at his house. To his astonishment, he didn’t need to warm up or introduce himself to these young tabbies.
They made the decision to approach Jasper in a line and began vying for his affection right away. Jasper was immediately surrounded by a crowd of kittens that followed him everywhere he went.
It’s difficult to imagine that these kittens would all have cowered in a carrier a few weeks ago since they were all so fearful and shy.
A chance at a better life was offered to the six puppies when they were brought to the Humane Society for Hamilton County (in Indiana) last month.
They travelled with Jennifer from New Kittens on the Block to their foster home because they needed to socialise with other cats.
All six of them—Wally, Mac, Cashew, Pistachio, Almond, and Hazelnut—slowly emerged from their shells and began to play after they had a taste of the comfortable indoor life.
