This week, two dozen cats and eight kittens rescued from Ukraine will arrive in Virginia. The non-profit organisation behind the effort is “Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.”
The group’s executive director and a volunteer travelled to Ukraine earlier this month to rescue the animals.
The goal is to find homes for all of the cats while also raising awareness and funds for the cause.
The rescue operation was made feasible thanks to the efforts of volunteers from Ukraine and Romania.
