Blacky, the one-eyed, tuxedo cat in a wheelchair, is becoming viral on the internet!

Blacky, a grumpy-appearing tuxedo from New Zealand, moves around the garden on wheels rather than his rear legs.

In addition to having his left eye scratched by another cat, Blacky also developed an ulcer in his cornea, necessitating the entire removal of his eye by the veterinarians.

The unfortunate cat was subsequently struck by a car, adding salt to his already open wounds. After making it home on his front legs alone, he was found to have spinal nerve damage and paralysis.

Veterinarians recommended Blacky’s 34-year-old owner Louise Hopkins to put him to death, but she refused, and this year he celebrated his 10th birthday.

She asserts that thanks to his wheels and newfound fame, Blacky is happier than ever.

For the previous two Christmases, Blacky has delivered gifts to children who had nothing to cheer them happy.

It’s wonderful to see someone who is a little different and special having such a positive influence on other people’s life, and I believe that many people can connect to Blacky.

“I frequently hear from others who have illnesses and impairments themselves about how inspirational he is to them as well.”

“Our mission is to make people smile even for five minutes; it’s such a nice feeling knowing a small kitty has the power to transform lives,” the company says.
